Mihaela Spiridon

I am delighted to introduce myself to you as the Director at Skyluna. My name is Mihaela Spiridon, and I am thrilled to be joining the community.

With great enthusiasm and dedication, I embrace this role, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to build meaningful connections with Skyluna families. My leadership philosophy revolves around empowering team members to make meaningful contributions across various aspects of work, including teaching, management, and leadership. By fostering a culture of participation, inclusion, and integrity, I aim to cultivate a sense of ownership and accountability that encourages staff members to take initiative and responsibility.

With over seven years of experience working in the private early care setting and charter schools here in the valley, I have gained invaluable insights into running effective early care programs and developing pre-k business.

My goal is to create an environment at Skyluna that inspires students to learn, explore, grow, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Lauren Short

Toddler Teacher

I have degrees in Psychology, Theater Arts, and I have over 21 units of Early Childhood Education courses. I have worked in the Preschool setting as an Infant and Toddler Teacher as well as nannying for multiple families over the years. I have also worked for a crisis center that helps fight against homelessness and child abuse in children birth to five. I love working with preschool children, because not only am I teaching them, but they are always teaching me new things as well. I hope to one day open my own private school that not only focuses on education but the creative arts as well. In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, educating myself on the latest psychology studies, playing pool, traveling, and exploring new places.

Delaney Dingerson-Perez

Toddler Teacher

The first time I realized I wanted to work with kids is when I was 10. I’ve been working with kids since I was 14 where I was volunteering in a kinder camp and after  school program. When I was 16 I chose to do the preschool program my high school offered to fast track teaching credits for college. When the pandemic hit I was a nanny for a family with a child with special needs. I have been working in daycare since. The thing I love most about working with kids is being able to foster creativity and a love for learning. Shaping young minds is so rewarding and by far the best career for myself. I majored in psychology with an emphasis on childhood trauma and psychological disorders with the expectation to become a therapist. I have decided to go back to school in the fall online to get my masters. My husband and I moved to Nevada last March from Illinois and we welcomed our son in January of this year. I am so happy I have been welcomed into the skyluna family and I cannot wait to be in the classroom with the kids and grow with them as we continue with the year.
